Journey into Narnia Closing

Found out that on Sept 10th the Journey into Narnia: Prince Caspian is closing it's doors. This attraction is in Disney's Hollywood Studios. There had been rumors going around that it was going to close, but guests enjoyed it enough to keep it opened as long as they have.
There are other rumors of what will they be putting in next?
There is a talk about a Pirate theme walk through and also some meet and greet (maybe for pirates). I am hoping that it is some sort of walk through that takes into a whole other world like Journey into Narnia.

WISHFUL THINKING: Though I am surprised that of how big Narnia story is that they never made a ride of this...I think it would be cool to walk through the wardrobe and jump into a white sleigh with that dwarf. Follow along the trails where you meet the creatures of Narnia. I think I would have loved that ride. Fight the White Queen, meet Santa, go over the River as it brakes into pieces! That would have been so awesome! Maybe someday Disney would make a ride like this...it would be awesome!

The Seas with Nemo and Friends at Epcot

This is a wonderful ride with Nemo and his friends. You get to explore Nemo's world in a"Clamobile" that fits about two people, maybe also 2 adults and 1 small kids (tight fit). It is a ride through the tropical reef and you get to see all of Nemo's Friends!  My stepson loved this ride and really loved it when we were seeing the tanks with live fish behind Nemo and his friends. This is a slow moving ride and is for all ages. Everyone will just love it. When you get off the ride, you are still in Nemo's World. You enter into Pavilion where there are two levels of tanks. You will see sea turtles, angelfish, dolphins, rays, sharks and other sea creatures. There is also The Turtle Talk with Crush show where Crush talks with you! My stepson loved him! There is much to see in the Pavilion and fun for all ages!
We had a blast hanging out with Dory
We also got to meet up with Nemo and his dad Marlin

Of Course the best part was visting the gift shop at the end and
through the shop all I said was "Mine, Mine, Mine!" lol
So, on your next visit don't forget to visit Nemo and his friends!:)

Mickey and Minnie Wedding...with a twist!

M @ M Disney Wedding

Lately I have been going through some of my wedding items from last year. I got married in April 2010. It was a lovely, sunny and warm day. We got married in a Butterfly Conservatory which was beautiful. The wedding reception was all done up with Mickey and Minnie! I would have loved to have gotten married at Disney World, but when I checked out the price to get married down there, we couldn't afford the cost. So, we made our own Disney Wedding up North, and honeymooned instead at Disney World. We stayed at the Polynesian Resort!
The wedding itself was wonderful, sadly during the reception some thing went wrong but we over came them with style! Here are some of the cool items we had used for our Mickey and Minnie Wedding...

This was our Mickey and Minnie Lenox topper.
I just loved it when I picked it out for the cake.

These were our Mickey and Minnie Wine Glasses!

This was the Ring Bearer Pillow! It was so cute with him as he walked down!

Last ....and also put into a CONTEST!
These were my Favorite items that I had picked out for the wedding.

Other Magical Moment :)

Magical Moments In Walt Disney World

I loved working in the gift shops when I was working at Liberty Square.
I enjoyed helping others make their dreams come true!

One day, I was working at The Yankee Trader when a mom and her daughter came into the store. The girl was about eight and very talkative, like most eight years old are! The mom was shopping around, looking at the kitchen items. She wasn't paying attention to the little girl who was talking a mile a minute! The girl walked over to the counter and stared at the cookies. We had some cool cookies, that was of Ariel, Mickey, Pooh and so on. She then looked up at me and I smiled at her. She smiled back. Then she was looking at a Tinkerbell Pillow and put her face on it. I asked her how it felt. She said, "soft." She then came over and started talking with me. We must have talked about everything Disney! I remember she told me she liked  my pins on my lanyard. She hadn't had a pin yet and hoped to get one soon. Then her mom came to cash out. I talked with her mom a little and then as they started heading out I yelled, "wait!" I went over and said to the little girl, "I want you to have your first Disney pin on me! Why don't you take one from my lanyard!" The girl smiled from ear to ear and picked one. I wish I could remember which one she picked but I remember how happy she was when she left! It made my day!:)

Ways to Travel around Disney World

When staying on Disney Property,
there are many ways to get around Disney!
Which is great, so you don't have to always use you car!

Kids also LOVE the transportation around Disney world!
Keeping with a Child's 'eye', my stepson just loved taking
pics of the transportation ways that get people around Disney.

There are boats that can used all over Disney World to get
from one destination at Disney to another!
This picture my stepson took is the boat that takes you from the Magic Kingdom
parking lot over to Magic Kingdom!
I remember as a child coming across and seeing MK
and getting all excited when we pulled up to the docks.
It was a great ride!

Here is Disney Transport Bus, there are so many of these
buses around Disney that it's hard to miss them!
They have station at every resort, all the parks, the
water parks,  Downtown Disney and more!
This bus that my stepson snapped a pic of was leaving
the station at Magic Kingdom!

Here is the Monorail...well..a piece of the monorail!
I have to say that I was very impressed that from where
my stepson was standing and being seven, that he was able to get
a piece of it at all! He so mad wanted a shot of it taken by himself!
So, here is what you guys get to see!:)

There are two lines for the monorails.
Both start at the Transportation and Ticket Center.
One circles around Magic Kingdom and three resorts,
Contemporary Resort, Polynesian Resort and Grand Floridian Resort and Spa!
The other monorail travels from
Transportation and Ticket Center and Epcot.

When you are staying on Disney Property, you can go online to
http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/resortsand see what transportation is going from your resort, to which park
you want to travel to visit!
Or when you go on your next trip, what resort has the transportation you
want to use more when getting around!

Example: Staying at Polynesian Resort in 2010
I got to use the monorail to go to Magic Kingdom which was fun
but if we had wanted to travel over by ferryboat we could have also done that!

Example: Staying at Saratoga Springs and Spa Resort in 2007
I had so many ways to travel to Downtown Disney
They have bus, can walk, can use a ferryboat...
I loved going on the ferryboat! There are so many ways to get around Disney at each resort!
Have fun traveling around at your next visit to
Walt Disney World :)

My New Disney Find

My lovely Disney Items that I found in Town!
So today I went around town and went into Hallmark. I love walking through and seeing all the new items they have coming up for the new holiday season, plus they have their ornaments out for Christmas. I just love seeing the new Disney ornaments and picking some out for our tree each year. Along my journey through the store I came across a new section of all Disney items! They had mugs, Wall Art Sayings from Walt Disney, items blocks to use on your deck with Disney sayings on them..and the list goes on. They also had a Memo Mouse Pad to jot down your weekly to-do's and daily dreams which you can get for a special deal when you buy other Disney items. Here are my two pick ups that I had to have and now hanging on my wall!
These are my two awesome new Wall hangs...
One with Mickey saying "If you can dream it, you can do it."
and one with Mickey and the Gang that reads "The most important thing is family"
I am hoping to get back to Hallmark soon to purchase a few more
Disney items!
Check out your Hallmark store to see this awesome line of Disney items!

What 'EYES' a seven year old at Disney World

The 'EYE' of a Seven year old child

I just started going through some of our folders on our computer of our 2009 Trip to Disney. I came across a folder that Read "Stepsons Pics". I remember giving him my camera when we went on the monorail and headed over to Magic Kingdom. I have to say that some of these pics where great! He has a 'eye' for amazing things at Disney. It's also cool to see what fascinates a child at Disney World. What they think is worth taking pictures of when they walk through the park or travel from one destination to another. I wanted to share some of his wonderful picture shots with all of you! I think you will be very impressed by what he enjoyed looking at when he was holding the camera!

Disney's Wedding Pavilion
I love this shot he took of it!

Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa
I remember him loving the look of this resort when we
went by on the monorail.
The Celebrate Today flags and some random lady

Walking up to Magic Kingdom, he was so excited!!

I remember he loved the Names on the way
up to Magic Kingdom.

I guess he really liked the buses, for there
where about six shots of them coming and going!

The Sign to Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort
Now, we weren't staying there, and haven't yet...
maybe he really wants to stay there someday!

Next time you go down to Disney World, give your child, your canera, or let them
have their own. It's always fun to see what they enjoy through their 'eyes'. What they
find to be worth taking pictures of. I have to say that I have enjoyed my stepson's collection
of really amazing Disney Pics!

Does your child love Dinosaurs? Disney World has them!

I have a child that LOVES Dinosaurs,
so was it our surprise that Animal Kingdom
and a restaurant at Downtown Disney is
dedicated to Dinosaurs!

He was such a happy little boy!
The restaurant is called T-Rex Cafe.
It serves lunch and dinner. The prices varies from
$15.00 to about $35.00.
The food is burgers, seafood, different sandwiches and more!
There is something for everyone and there is also a great
gift shop after that sells dinosaur tees and dinosaur toys!
Plus a bonus! There is a play area for kids to adventure through
called Paleo Zone!
My stepson stared at T-Rex forever!
He was just so thrilled about T-Rex cafe!

Now also in Animal Kingdom they have a section
dedicated to Dinosaurs!
It's called Dinoland, U.S.A.® area!
It has attractions like DINOSAUR, Primeval Whirl, The Boneyard (Play Area),
TriceraTop Spi, Dino-Sue, and Cretaceous Trail.
There are also games to play at Fossil Fun Games!

My Stepson loved them all!
We had to take a picture of every dinosaur that we came across!
This picture is of  Dino-Sue! She is a
replica of a real Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton.
There is so much fun at DinoLand U.S.A. area for children who love Dinosaurs!

If you want anymore information on these great places and attractions at Disney World

Starring Mickey Mouse

Next will be Minnie Mouse

and what about that awesome dog Pluto

Then came Donald Duck

and always saving the best for last..
Goofy!

...believe it or not, Goofy was the first to our table, but
we were getting food, so he stood there, feeling
pity on my dad who was left sitting alone!

Overall...Great Experience...Can't wait to go back down soon
and do it again!! We had a blast! The food was great..there was
pancakes, cereal of all sorts, bacon, eggs(anyway you like), fruit,
slice ham, toast, them made omelettes, and so much more!
Can also have Dinner there too!
If you can catch the Monorail, that is the funniest way to get there!

What I have noticed everytime I step foot into Magic Kingdom

 My journey through Magic Kingdom

I love Magic Kingdom. I think I even love it more now that I have worked in
this amazing park. I noticed though on my last trip how I follow a pattern though
the park. Maybe I have developed this pattern from all my visits to the park.
Here is a map of Magic Kingdom...
This is how I start my adventure...
1. I head up Main Street of course over to Tomorrowland,
and there I get a fast pass to Space Mountain
2. I will go on Stitch's Great Escape and Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin
By the time they are normally done, we are ready to go on Space Mountain
3. Then we get a snack, mainly ice cream at Auntie Gravity's Galactic Goodies
4. Then we walk over to the other side of the park Frontierland
5. We get a fast pass at Splash Mountain
6. Then we go Thunder Mountain while waiting
and after we get off..we then head to Splash Mountain
7. After these two rides we have lunch at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe
and lunch for each of us is under 15.00 dollars which is wonderful!
8. We are close to Pirates of the Caribbean so we head there
9. Then we walk over to the parade, so we do Swiss family Treehouse
10. Watch the parade on Main Street
11. Take the Disney Railroad around
12. Head over to Mickey's PhilharMagic which is a favorite!
13. Then go on Snow White's Scary Adventure
14. This is when it starts to get alittle dark so
we go on Haunted Mansion!
15. We start to get hungry so we head over to Main Street again
and normally eat at Casey's Corner
16. Wait for Wishes
17. After Wishes we walk through the Emporium as fast as we can!
The Emporium is a long store that covers one side of Main Street!
We watch fireworks here the store so when it's time to go, we walk through the
store and not get caught up in the crowd!
It's the fastest way to travel!!
So, this is what I see on most of my visits,
Sometimes I do find the time for another ride, but if you are
only going one day, we have to pick!
And fast passes are great to help you get around to the
rides you enjoy faster!
When I had worked at Magic Kingdom, I would get off work and head
to Space Mountain and then one other ride, so maybe because I have
been on all the rides, I make sure I hit up my favorites first!

See...I did change it up once...and flew on Dumbo! :)

Boma – Flavors of Africa

Boma – Flavors of Africa
At Animal Kingdom Lodge
www.disney.go.com
They serve a family-friendly buffet-style breakfast and dinner.
My friend and I went there for Dinner and we were the first to be seated.
They had men drumming on both sides of the place as people
were seated, that was awesome!
They had offers prepared with African touches,
which included vegetarian selections,
traditional dishes,and fire-grilled meats.
They also had different seafood, soups,
salads, and yummy desserts.
I found myself at the desserts a lot at the end.
For kids they had some American dishes too.
There were plenty of dishes to choose from
and so many different types that there is something
for everyone here!
My friend and I ate as much as we could and we loved it!
This is us at our table about eating our meal!
We had a wonderful time!
Now, you don't have to be staying at this resort
to eat here...you can make a reservation at
online at www.disneyworld.disney.go.com
head over to Bona - Flavors of Africa and
make the reservations online.
If you have the Disney Dinning Plans, you can use that as well!
Enjoy!!!:)

Mickey Pancakes are the best! YUM!

I love Mickey Pancakes!
Here is how I make them for Breakfast:)
This is my Mickey Waffle Maker.
Plug it in and it is ready to cook in a few minutes.
I also use it when I make Mickey Pancakes.
I get my favorite pancakes batter and add in Minnie's Sprinkles.
I got these Sprinkles at Walt Disney World in Magic Kingdom.
Put your pancake batter in the Waffle maker for about 3 minutes
It really doesn't take long which is so great...
get to eat faster this way!
YAY! MICKEY MOUSE!! YAY!
Remember can also make waffles as well.
Then put on favorite toppings...Eggo Syrup and cinnamon is
what I love best.:)
Then you have yourself a Mickey Breakfast!
Have a Magical Morning!

Looking back at a great time in my life...as a Cast Member

Disney World Cast Member
I remember the day I got on the plane that took me to Walt Disney World, not to visit, but to work as a Cast Member for the MOUSE himself! I was nervous and excited at the same time. I was glad that my mom and sister came down with me. I can remember waiting in line with hundreds of other excited students who where doing the college program. In line, I got to meet one of my roommates which was exciting. I lived with five other girls and we had a good time together. Each of us had different jobs at Disney, so sadly we didn't always get to see each other because of having different shifts. I got to work at Liberty Square in Magic Kingdom. I worked in the gift shops, the cart at the Haunted Mansion, got to work at Splash Mountain, worked over in Adventureland, gift shops in Frontierland, I painted on ornaments, sketched with artists on Main Street and was picked to do inventory for Magic Kingdom which was fun!
I remember seeing the three o'clock parade go by my first week working and I had tears in my eyes of joy. On the last day, I worked I still had the same tears of joy in my eyes when the parade went by. After making friends, working at such a magical place, it was hard to leave to go home. But I had missed my family. I remember my coordinator saying to me, "We would hate to have such a great cast member leave. Are you sure you don't want to stay longer?" I sadly left, but with Outstanding on my Cast Member papers. I also got some great gifts too.
Here are two pins that where given to me when I left Disney by my coordinator
The Small Mickey pin was given to me because I had gotten three 100's.
Disney takes pride in their cast members doing their job and exceeding guest expectations.
I did my job at Disney with pride and cared about the guests
(wanted every guest to have their magical moments)!
The cast member trading reward was given to me because
I was always trading pins with guests. I always had my lanyard ready for
some fun trading and ready got involved with Disney pins.
These are just two of my gifts!

My days at Disney is never over, I still love going down to visit when I can.
I am sure one day I will find myself working at Disney World again.

My story of my favorite Disney pin

 My Ariel Disney Pin
I have been a collector of Disney pins since 2003, when I went to work for the Mouse! I loved my internship and enjoyed exchanging Disney pins with the guest. I got to slowly over time understand the whole pin collecting thing and why some Disney fans where so into this collection. I had one lady want one of my Disney pins so bad that she brought me to her van where she had about twenty different Disney books full of pins to pick from. I was impressed! I loved going down to the Disney Pin Traders and just check out all the new Disney pins. I did hear about this cool Ariel Disney pin that you could only get on the cruise ships. This pin came out on the boats every few hours, then taken away so not many people go them. It was a DCL Artist Choice and everyone seemed to want this pin at the time. I had only seen it once in someone's collection when I was at Disney, but I knew then after, I wanted it!
I never got the Ariel pin during my internship, but when I went back home I saw it on Ebay going for 125.00 dollars. I at the time, didn't have that much to bid on it. I had told my friend, how I was trying to save money and hoped that I could get it when it comes back on again. Well, it wasn't that long before this Disney pin was back on starting at 75.00 or buy at 132.00! I was about to bid on it when it got down to a day left, when someone just bought the pin!!! I was heart broken. This was the pin that I so wanted to have in my Disney pin collection. A few days later, my friend and I exchanged Christmas gifts and when I opened my gift, it was the DCL Artist Choice Ariel Pin!!! I couldn't believe it. Come to find out, he had been on Ebay and saw the pin. He was the one who bought it! I have about 200, or more cool Disney pins in my collection, but this pin stands out the most.
Here is my favorite Disney pin!

Disney Toy Story Green Alien Cupcakes

Toy Story Green Aliens
OOHHH ....AAHHH...the Claw!

I tried my hand at making Toy Story Green Alien Cupcakes for
our house warming party!
Everyone who entered our home was greeted by these lovely green aliens!
I have to say that they were a hit!
Here is how I made them...

First I made the cupcakes and frosted them with neon green frosting.
Can make the frosting with white frosting and food coloring.

Then add 1. I used apple twizzlers for the antenna
2. I used used apple sour belts for the ears,
which I cut out myself.
3. the white mint candies for the eyes
4. I used black coloring gel for the mouth and eye dots

Here is a Green Alien Cupcake!

Here a a whole bunch of green aliens!!!
Next time I want to make the claw over them! hehe!

I found them easy and fun to make. Great hit!
