My new favorite Disney Christmas Statue

I went on the Disney Store site and picked up this wonderful statue of Mickey and the Gang on a sled. On the site it says its an ornament but its not at all, no hook and its way to heavy to hang. Though I love it to pieces!

It retailed for $39.95 and stands about six inches high. I have gone back to put a review on the statue, but its already gone. If you ever want this in your disney collection for Christmas, you can always check on Ebay.

I love the shimmer!

Have a Magical Merry Christmas Everyone!

Some of my favorite Disney Holiday decorations

Some of my favorite Disney Holiday decorations are...

These wonderful Christmas lights of Candy Cane Mickey heads that lights up.  I had bought two sets and up them up on my windows inside the house for enjoyment. I love when they are turned on and glowing bright. Bought them from the Disney Store online.

I just love this Disney Countdown to Christmas wall hanger. My stepson has up the little ornaments in the slots for each day now, for about four years. He looks forward to when this calender gets set up each year and he always tries to keep the same pattern of placing each year as well which is cute. This was also bought on the Disney Store site a few years ago and I have seen it on there again this year.

This is such a cute piece to up up as a display. Mickey and Minnie making a snowman together. I love that Pluto is there as well. Though I find it interesting that Minnie has no eye lashes. This was bought at a Hallmark store in my town.

These are just a few...more to come soon!

Disney Dream Reward Dollars...What do you do with yours?

I have had my Disney Visa Card since 2005! I had gone down to Walt Disney World and noticed how some guests were using their Disney Dream Reward Dollars to pay for their Disney Vacation. Every Dream Dollar you earn is a dollar you can use for different perks at Disney. I thought, if I am going to have a credit card and get rewards, it might as wall be toward Disney!
With the card there are only fun perks you can get, like Character Meet N Greet at locations that are just for cardholders. Loved seeing the characters this way! Plus I loved getting 10% off merchandise at some of the Disney stores when visiting WDW.
These are a few of the new designs
Now, you can also use the Rewards for the online Disney Store. There has been many times I have gotten gifts for family and friends with the Disney Dream Dollars and didn't have to pay out of pocket. Great to use during the Holiday Season. Plus the send you mailing offers, to let you know how many dollars you have, coupons, special offers to use. I have taken advantage of just about everything. If you are a huge Disney Fan, this could be a card for you. Great way to pay bills then put your money back on the card, and get Free dream dollars!

Kingdom Keepers Book Series! Its a MUST!

KINGDOM KEEPERS!!!! A+

I just started reading this book series and couldn't put the first book down after I started reading it! The story is all about Magic Kingdom and what it could be like after dark. When the villains come out and try to take over Walt Disney World. Five teens have to try to save the Kingdom before its to late and let me tell you...there are some parts in the book that gave me goose bumps. I could image going through what these kids went through while going through the park after dark and trying to save what Walt Disney loved so much!
Of course for me, since I have worked at Magic Kingdom back in 2003, I can remember walking around the park when the guests had left. I once stood in front of the castle looking up with on one around me. I had even walked over to Tomorrowland with just seeing two security guards. Every thing was quiet, nit like this book. This book has the park active at night with the characters coming to life. Wouldn't it be fun if only the good characters came to life and you could hang out with them at the park after dark.
Let me tell you, there is nothing like Disney after dark, and so if you never had a chance to be in Magic Kingdom when its closed, then here is your chance to imagine what it could be like after the gates close. Trust me, once you read this book, you are going to want to buy the rest of the series! There are five out right now. The 6th book in the series will be released in the first week of April 2013, so you better start reading so you can be ready for that six one next year!
Have a magical Day!

PS. Strangely my bookstore didn't have this series, so I had to order it. I don't live close to any big shopping area, but you can also order it for Kindle if you have one! :)

Sweepstakes - DVC - Fun to play!

I found this Sweepstakes for the DVC in my email a few weeks ago and was excited to play the game for a chance to win a 3 year DVC membership. The game is really fun to play and a person can play it once a day to gain points. The more points you get, the more chances you have to get a bigger prize if you win.

One of the Game boards you play on
You get to three boards to play on...one is picked for you and two you pick. The boards are fun, World of Discoveries, Seaside Splendors, Majestic Woodslands, and Magical ThemeParks. On these game boards you go up against villains who want the points toward their wins. They have game pieces to pick from..I love any of the Mickey hats. You race on each board for points for a chance to win. You can play every day and if you didn't get an email..its ok...
you can go to the website http://disneyvacationclub.disney.go.com and go to Sweepstakes to play. This is going on through Jan. 31, 2013!
You still have plenty of time to enter so give it a shot! You might be surprised! I know I enjoy playing and cross my fingers that one of these days I win a cool prize from Disney!
Now, you play up to ten times, or until you reach 500 points...so get going and hope that you can win over those villains!

A Tinker Bell 1st Birthday Party!

I have to say that I loved my cousin's cakes that she made for her daughter's first birthday party. These cakes were made that same day! She spent all morning frosting the forest for Tinker Bell and her friends to live in. She placed fake flowers on the cakes and little bug friends. I loved that cakes and they were so yummy too! Great job cuz! Your daughter is one lucky little girl:)

Where's My Water review as an adult

So, I have been hearing about this app from my students at the club for awhile. They all have seemed to love it. We have had our kindle of almost six months now and I realized today that I didn't have this app yet? I was thinking...Maybe my stepson would enjoy this new app to play since he is eleven years old. I got the kindle and bought the app for 99cents! It being cheap I wonder why I didn't get this app sooner, but I finally purchased it!
The whole idea is to get the water to the crocodile, and get all three ducks!
Now, I didn't wait until he came home to have him try the app, I thought to myself "Maybe I'll try a sneak peak first!"

Well, a half hour later and 55 levels into the game and I found myself hooked! It's fun, challenging and not hard to play at all. The levels get a little more tricky as you go up, but there are 600 levels to get though. You will find yourself hooked and your kids trying to get you away from their app!
Seriously, lots of fun...even for grownups! Great Disney app for the whole family to enjoy.
Have a Magical Day!

Disney Haunted Mansion Scrapbooking Style

I love to scrapbook. My mother-in-law knows that I love Disney, to where she went out and got me Haunted Mansion Mickey Scrap booking stickers this year Jolees 312394 Disney Vacation Dimensional Sticker-Haunted House Mickey (Google Affiliate Ad). Looking at the stickers made me come up with a great idea. Last year, my wonderful stepson put on a Stitch mask I made for him. He also has the Stitch hands. He took a few pictures for me, but this year he never dressed up. He is also getting older, eleven and getting to be a real preteen. I decided to take the pictures from last year and put them on a orange background in Photoshop. I made sure I left room for where I wanted each sticker to go.

The Disney Halloween Stickers

The sheet I printed out with my pictures
After printing out the sheet of thick paper (card stock) I placed the stickers where I wanted them. I made sure to place the two tombs on each side for they were heavy and could help hold the card stock put on my stand. I have to say that I love what I created out of the Haunted Mansion Disney Stickers.

My Hidden Disney Treasure : A Don "Ducky" Williams Print

This is an interesting story. Back in 2006 for my Birthday, a suite mate of mine, in college, gave me some Prints of Disney. I looked over them and thought "they are pretty cool, but who is Don Williams?" All she ever told me was that her father worked at a printing company where they made the prints and she had gotten a few. She knew I loved Disney and so she gave a few to me as a gift. I kept them in storage for 6 years.
Recently I decided to take them out. I framed one and put it up on my wall. It's of Tinkerbell flying over Cinderella's castle. I then thought about selling one on Ebay. It was of Beauty and the Beast, and it was made made for the Disney Cruise Line. It was of Belle giving Beast a present for Christmas. As soon as I put it up, I started to get hits, people messaging me about the piece, and bids! Shocking at the end, a was shocked for how much it went. I was happy about the person who won, for she wrote to  me a few times and was a BIG Beauty and Beast fan. Now it will be hanging onto of her fireplace.
I decided to find out about the last piece I had in my collect. A Little Mermaid piece, plus I wanted to learn who Don Williams was? When I read about him being a pretty famous Disney Artist, I was shocked and pretty happy that I had a few of his prints. I normally pay attention to the artist of Disney, but somehow he slipped under my radar! This one below is of the Little Mermaid, I did for research on the piece.

In the picture you see Ariel, Flounder and Sebastian. Ariel is staring over at the Disney Cruise Ship which is in the middle of Cinderella's and Sleeping Beauty's castles.

The piece is "Part of Your World Heads West" May 14, 2005 Disney Cruise Line
I had to look up the date and its when the Disney Cruise Line first set sail from Walt Disney World over to Disneyland through the Panama Canal. Now looking at the piece it makes sense to me, for before I didn't know about the Disney Cruise going through the canal. Since I never been on a Disney Cruise, I don't know much about it.
It was fun to find out what treasures I was holding onto without knowing it.
Have you ever had a Disney Treasure that later you found out more about? Got it as a gift or even a yard sale and didn't know much about until later?

I wanted to share a few with everyone on here so you can share with your family and friends. Have a Magical Day!

These are just to show a few...but its great to put up Disney saying and Disney pictures on sites for when others see them, it makes them smile. And no one can make people smile more then Disney.

My favorite Disney Cap

It has been almost ten years since I worked at Walt Disney World in the WDW College Program. On graduation day in Epcot, we all were given a folder of awards and a Disney Graduation Cap with Mickey ears. I have had mine stored in a bin with some other Disney memorabilia. A day ago I was going through the bin and had to put it back on. It was like I was at Epcot again, standing by the stage were Mickey congratulated us all for completing the program and we moved the tassel to the other side.  Here is my Disney Graduation Cap:
My Disney Cap
What is reads on the cap
Not sure if they still give this same cap out on graduation. If you are in college and interested in the program head over to http://cp.disneycareers.com/en/default/
This is a great opportunity for any college student who is interested in working fro Disney or has ever wanted to be apart of the magic!

Disney Trip Planning

I want to let my readers know that I am sorry for not blogging for awhile in DisneyBlueFairy. I just got a second job which means now I work from 7:30 in the morning to 6:00 in the evening. When I get home, I find myself tired.
My family and I though are starting to plan our next Disney trip to Walt Disney World! This trip will be with my husband, stepson, my parents and my mother-in-law! It will be my mother-in-law's first time to Disney World. I am so excited about showing her the place where fantasy lives. She loves flowers and gardens, so we planned the trip around the Flower and Garden Festival in Epcot next year! Which means next April, in 2013, I will be heading back down to Walt Disney World!

Right now I am in the first few steps of planning the trip:
1. Resort
2. Tickets
3. Airplane travel

So excited! I will hopefully be able to keep everyone in formed on what my plans will be while staying at the Walt Disney Resort. I want to do a few things I haven't done yet....any suggestions?

New Look for some Disney Characters this holiday season....

BARNEY is working with Walt Disney Co. to come up with the "Electric Holiday" Campaign for this holiday season. To work with the Disney Characters they decided to change them up a bit for the fashion industry.  Here is what they decided to come up with for Minnie, Goofy and Daisy...

(release date: Nov. 14, in collaboration with the Walt Disney Co.)
Minnie is now EXTREMELY thin and possible close to six feet tall. All three have human like hands which is strange. Daisy is not wearing purple which is her signature color. Goofy lost all his great dog qualities!
I have to say that I'm not happy about this new change...if Barney thinks that changing this wonderful characters into looking like models to sell their clothes will work...I hope it doesn't.
What are others thinking about this new change in the characters for the holiday season?

Using Photoshop with Disney Pics

I love using Photoshop to have fun with my Disney Trip Pictures taken over the years. I enjoy making each picture different to add to scrapbooks and hanging on the walls. It is a fun way to display memories and its pretty easy. There are many different tools to use in Photoshop that will change you picture without having to do to much and get stressed out.

This picture is of my stepson looking into Pluto's mouth while getting an autograph at Chef Mickey. I went into Photoshop and used Glowing Edges which is a tool to make the edges around each main line glow, like glow sticks. Then I put the edges on number four, brightness on seven and smoothness on four. I wanted to the lines to be bright around each main characters and people to let them stick
out.

Here in Photoshop I went into the Pencil Sketch tool to make Cinderella's Castle look sketched. The castle was turning pink at the time so the sketch is pink on the castle. I loved how this turned out and it only took a minute to make it happen in Photoshop. looks great in a scrapbook.

Have fun with your pictures in Photoshop, a neat why to display memories:)
Will put another post up soon on other ways I use Photoshop to display pictures of my Disney vacations!

Walkway stones in Magic Kingdom

I have always wanted to get a stone on the Walkway up to Magic Kingdom. I know that right now they have stopped putting in new stones with people's names but I am wondering who has ever had it done? I would love to hear from those lucky people who had a stone put in with their names on it, maybe next time I go down, my stepson can try to find you:)
He loves the stones up to Magic Kingdom..he wanted to have one with his name on it but I heard they aren't going to start it up until around 2022??? again. So question..who has a name on the walkway and where it is located:)

My stepson taking pictures of the stones on our way to Magic Kingdom. He loved them and hopes to one day have his name on one!:)

Awesome Videos on the Disney Coaster Attractions

I have always been a huge fan of Disney's roller coaster attractions. Today, when I was working at my job, some of the kids I work with asked me about some Disney rides. They wanted to see what a few of the attraction looked like when going on them. I hunted on the internet until I came across YouTube Coaster Views
Great place to go to view an attraction before going on it to see if it's for you. I have had friends and relatives say to me that if they knew a ride would have made them so sick or their child so scared, they wouldn't have avoided it. We are all different so when we go on a attraction we all handle it differently. Maybe some have avoided a ride and when seeing it on the screen they noticed that it's not as bad as it looked and then try it out.
I love the Disney coaster views and the children loved the Expedition Everest at Disney's Animal Kingdom in Orlando, Florida.

Also another video the kids enjoyed seeing was Big Thunder at Magic Kingdom Roller Coaster in Orlando, Florida.

Rock n' Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Florida was another favorite to watch and I have to say I was loving it with the kids. I got very into watching this one and was so excited when it was like to us to GO! The kids laughed at me:)

Are you BRAVE enough?

BRAVE is out in theaters today! I am so excited! She sounds like one awesome and Brave princess! Hope everyone gets out and watches her on the big screen tonight!

"Merida is a skilled archer and impetuous daughter of King Fergus and Queen Elinor. Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin, surly Lord Macintosh and cantankerous Lord Dingwall. Merida' ;s actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury in the kingdom, and when she turns to an eccentric old Witch for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish. The ensuing peril forces Merida to discover the meaning of true bravery in order to undo a beastly curse before it's too late!" From my theater!
